|  | Crystal Springs Uplands School's Global Initiatives program supports the school’s mission to help students lead meaningful lives in a rapidly changing world. As our students explore the world, CSUS helps them become conversant with the wisdom each culture offers and give students the tools to be leaders in this new world as they celebrate diversity and embrace their role as global citizens.
The Global Initiatives program provides learning, social and experiential opportunities for students who are curious about the world and encourages risk-taking to challenge each student to strive for his or her highest potential. Each program (located throughout the world where there are significant developments) deepens the cycle of experiencing, learning, teaching and doing while integrating closely with the academic curriculum of the student. | | | The Global Speakers Series brings notable speakers to share ideas and skills related to relevant global topics. This Speakers Series aims to deepen our students' personal connections to the issues of the world and will be featured a few times throughout the school year. The Honorable John Roos, U.S. Ambassador to Japan, was the inaugural speaker in November 2011.

| CSUS has many graduates who live in different parts of the world. The Global Chat brings our students and alums together on Skype to connect through stories and experiences of these graduates. CSUS students may learn about specific topics related to what they learn in class as well as deepen their knowledge about general topics of interest related to living overseas. Our inaugural chat was with David Schainker, Class of 2004, who currently lives in Taiwan. |
