 | | Crystal Springs Uplands School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6-12 with a student body of 350. Founded in 1952, the school is located on a beautiful 10-acre suburban campus on the San Francisco peninsula in Hillsborough, California. CSUS endeavors to equip students with a feeling of joy in lifelong learning by encouraging individual leadership, cooperative interaction, intellectual risk-taking, and a respect for one's self and for the view of others. The school believes that students learn best in an environment that promotes learning in diverse ways about a complex world and nurtures the individual within a community of mutual trust, caring and respect. |
Our Mission: At CSUS, we inspire motivated learners to lead meaningful lives in a rapidly changing world. Our intimate, collaborative community encourages students to pursue passions, explore new interests, build confidence, develop compassion and thrive in an environment of academic excellence.
Welcome to our website! Our mission statement, printed above, calls upon us to create a community in which our members can thrive. We want our students and teachers to discover their best. We then seek ways to bring forth that “best self”.
We offer diverse opportunities for students to explore and develop their passions. Small classes, creative learning environments and stimulating colleagues help fuel those interests. Our athletics program, our visual and performing arts and our clubs and extra-curricular activities further foster opportunities for self-discovery, creative expression and personal growth.
Our small classes mean every student is known by his/her teachers and peers. From these small classes come authentic and long-lasting relationships, which, in turn, cultivate profound teaching and learning.
We encourage you to explore our website. We hope that by exploring the pages herein you will gain a greater insight into our community and what we might offer you. If you are intrigued by what you find, consider contacting us in person.
