 | The school offers a number of trips to provide opportunities for students to continue their education outside the campus gates. In Middle School, all students engage in a trip in the early part of April. The sixth grade travels to the Grand Canyon for four days, led by our Science Deparment, the Fine Arts Department takes the seventh grade on a series of day trips to local theaters and art museums, and our eighth grade students make the long trek to Washington D.C. for five days in and around our nation's capital. In addition, in alternating years we offer a middle school trips to France and Spain during the summer for those students just starting out in their language study.
In the Upper School, several trips run in alternating years, including trips to China, France and a Spanish-speaking country. These trips allow our students opportunities to experience another culture firsthand, and for our language students, to practice their foreign language skills. The China trip dovetails nicely with the ninth grade Asian history curriculum.
