First Holi Celebration at CSUS

The CSUS Asian Cultural Awareness Club hosted the first Holi Celebration at CSUS on April 15 during Upper School Enrichment Period. Holi, a Hindu religious festival that celebrates the coming of spring...

...is a free-for-all “carnival of color.” During most Holi celebrations, participants throw colored powders at friends and strangers while laughing and dancing to music. It is a festival that is quite popular on many U.S. college campuses. A few of our local communities (i.e. Foster City) annually sponsor their own Holi celebrations. The upper school students and faculty who participated in the event this year all said "We should do this again, it was so much fun." View photo slideshow>>
