We are excited that you have taken the first step to learn more about applying to Crystal. In many ways, this will not be a typical admission season. While we wish we could meet you in person at fairs, Open Houses, or at your school, safety is our #1 priority. We have worked diligently to adapt our usual events and gatherings to the virtual world while ensuring you get to know us and we get to know you -- even though it may only be through a screen.
We want you to know that we acknowledge and understand the many uncertainties caused by the global health crisis, from exam cancellations to changes in schools' grading policies. We want to highlight two important pieces that may be weighing on you. First, your student will not be penalized nor disadvantaged if your school moved to a pass/fail system for the spring of 2020. Secondly, we will not require admission testing for the 2020-2021 admission season. Crystal will not make assumptions nor will we evaluate an applicant differently if grades are pass/fail, or if testing is not submitted. For more on our test-optional policy,

We encourage you to take the time to explore our website and learn more about our
Middle School and
Upper School Academic Programs, as well as our commitment to
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming. We hope you will get to know our
Middle School and
Upper School students, and peruse our
viewbook. We will be offering
Admission Info Sessions every week to answer any questions you may have about the application process. We will also offer events throughout the fall and winter focused on various aspects of our academic and extracurricular programs, including the opportunity to hear from our Deans of Students, Division Heads, Head of School, our wonderful students, and current parents/guardians.
To stay up to date with all of our offerings, we encourage you to create a
Ravenna account.
We are in this together, and we look forward to working with you this season!
