Middle School Sports

Learn. Practice. Play. Middle School students are on the move!
We strongly encourage participation in one or more of the middle school’s nine competitive teams for ALL students — novice and veteran alike. Focusing on skill development, teamwork and leadership, our Middle School athletics program prepares students to compete not only at the middle school level, but also provides a strong foundation for upper school athletics as well. Middle school teams become more selective across the three-year program and yet there’s always a team for every player. Middle school students may also choose physical education activities instead of competitive sports on a season-by-season basis.

  • Middle School Golf - WBAL Spring Champs

The MS Golf team competed in the spring WBAL tournament and came away victorious. The team, composed of eight golfers, competed against 10 other schools. The top four scores were taken out of the eight to determine the school score. Crystal shot an amazing 149, which equates to one over par for the four golfers.

Why so many middle school teams?

Teams become more selective and playing time philosophies shift throughout the Middle School program. The Athletic Department believes that each student will have more success when placed on the team that is most appropriate for their skill level and development. More team divisions within sports, allows for maximum playing time and a more positive experience for all of our Middle School Gryphons.
