Crystal Springs Uplands School is committed to being a diverse and inclusive community. Such a community values and celebrates individual differences and ensures that each individual's unique background and perspective can inform and enrich the educational experience for all. In seeking to create and sustain a community that reflects the diversity of the Bay Area, we provide a dynamic learning environment and strive to prepare students for the world in which they live. Our curriculum exposes students to myriad viewpoints and experiences that challenge and broaden their perspectives. Crystal believes that students, parents/guardians, faculty, staff, administration and trustees with inclusive perspectives and attitudes make our school a place of respect and compassion in which all members belong and thrive.

  • Observing the George Floyd Murder Anniversary

    Students and school faculty/staff came together at each campus to remember George Floyd. In the Middle School, students observed a moment of silence and took time to reflect on the anniversary. In the Upper School, students were presented with thought-provoking questions as they reflected on this pivotal moment in history.

  • The Lunar New Year Celebration: Happy Year of the Ox!

    The Asian Culture Club led a virtual celebration of the Year of the Ox,  including wonderful performances and interactive activities like cooking demos that helped us not miss the traditional banquet quite so much. Thanks to all the club members, performers, and volunteers who made this New Year very bright indeed!

  • Learning About the Dream: Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    In January 2021, The Crystal community came together virtually for the annual MLK celebration, which included students, PAC members, and families learning about the history and legacy of King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.
