Competing for a second straight day, Crystal Boys defeated Pinewood 5-2 at home. Aside from Brian B’s dominant performance, the singles matches were very competitive with super tiebreakers determining the winner in the other 3 matches, 2 of them victories by Pinewood.
Josh C and Owen D served consistently and moved very aggressively throughout their strong performance. Josh continues to improve his net coverage and ability to close out matches while Owen was solid in every facet of the game.
When challenged, Brian attacked the net frequently to great success. Though Ethan’s returns were not as consistent as they typically are, his serve was rock solid. Ethan made every first serve in his clutch tiebreaker.
Henry and Andres controlled return games by running dictating play with their forehands and dominated on their serves by explosive crossing at net.
