Unplugged Day

Monday, April 29 was a regular school day with one important distinction -- we were unplugged from technology! All students and faculty members put aside their phones, computers, projectors, etc. to enjoy a day without screens, texting, social media, video games, Youtube videos, and other technologically-enabled distractions.

The brainchild of Head of Upper School Kelly Sortino, Unplugged Day was an experiment that made us all more mindful of the role of technology in our lives while helping us to fill our day with more personal interactions and quiet time. Some students extended the challenge beyond the school day to 24 or even 48 hours without technology. Could you do it?
