Kelly Sortino took over the reins of hosting our annual Upper School Knowledge Bowl in which teams of four go head-to-head in a battle of the brains. But former host and retired physics teacher Tom Woosnam was certainly there in spirit...
...particularly since the Woosnam Cup (the new trophy that will bear the winners' names from year to year) will be on permanent display.
The Knowledge Bowl is a very Crystal tradition, meaning that here, trivia is a fun spectator sport in which crowds cheer on their grade level favorites and answer along enthusiastically. It's no wonder that "We Celebrate Scholarship" is a Core Value.
This year's competition was fierce with several close matches. All teams displayed a high degree of knowledge, but the sophomore team of Isabelle F, Malyka R, Hari S, and Josh Z toppled their elder opponents and almost beat the faculty team who squeaked out the victory by one point. All hail team Zeitlin!
