Beloved Art Teacher, Jim Garrison, Keeps Inspiring Students

He's back! At least for a few days. Beloved veteran art teacher Jim Garrison returned to campus in January to teach watercolor techniques to Advanced Art students. Jim retired in 2008 after 37 years in the CSUS art room...

...and as Head of the Fine Arts Department. He often comes back to serve as a substitute teacher or to give lessons that draw upon his special skills. Alumni may notice in the photos Jim's "Fuzzy Greens" t-shirt (a student club he sponsored) and the watercolor of the iconic Uplands Mansion (on the table near Jim), which he created for Crystal.
