7th & 8th Graders Run First Cross-Country Race

The 7/8 grade boys and girls ran their first cross-country race on March 17 vs. St. Matthews at the Middle School campus. This was the first competition for them in over a year and the excitement of competing was present on the campus.

The girls raced first and competed well. Seventh graders Kira D and Caitlyn K finished second and fourth respectively. Kira ran the 1.7-mile course in 10:56. Strong performances were also turned in by Denali P (5th) and Genevieve P (11th). 

The boys ran an incredible race with Crystal finishing in the first three spots. Eighth grader Ollie B ran the course in a blazing 8:40 to win the race followed closely by Ben B and Tarik B. Crystal edged out St. Matthews 25-30 to win the boys race. Strong performances were also turned in by Aidan M (9th), Lucas S (10th), Daniel L (11th), Cameron K (12th), Andrew H (14th), Ethan G (15th), Brendon W (16th), Max B (18th), Brandon M (19th), Oren W (20th), Isaac P (23rd), and Alexander W (25th).
