  • Yomi Agunbiade


    Risk Management and Audit Committee chair, parent ‘15 ‘17 ‘19

    Yomi is the CEO of Principia Engineering and spent eighteen years in engineering and project management for the City and County of San Francisco. He holds a BSME from San Francisco State University. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised on four continents. My family values the deep sense of community and belonging that is core to the Crystal experience for students, faculty, and parents.

  • Chris Alden

    Alumnus ‘88

    Chris runs Palace Games, a playable art company in San Francisco that builds immersive escape room experiences. Previously he ran several companies, including Red Herring, a media company that he co-founded while teaching at Crystal in the early 1990s. He holds a BA in History from Dartmouth. Crystal had a big influence on my life, and I am committed to ensuring that the school thrives for generations to come.

  • George Bischof


    Alumnus ‘85

    George is a partner at Meritech Capital Partners, a late-stage venture capital firm. He holds a BA from Stanford and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern. George serves as a trustee for Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto. Crystal had a profound impact during my formative years. The school’s emphasis on outstanding teaching within a supportive learning environment is still very much intact.

  • Wendy Buckley


    Facilities Master Planning Committee co-chair, parent ‘13 ‘15

    Wendy’s career was in law firm administration at Hancock, Rothert & Bunshoft. She holds a degree from UC Berkeley. She serves on the Parents’ Council at Washington University in St. Louis and served as a trustee for Phillips Brooks School and the Woodside Village Church. Crystal was a transformational time for both my children, and I am honored to serve on its board.

    Parent ‘13, ‘19

    Chris is a partner at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He holds a BA in Accounting and a JD from Boston College. He serves as a trustee for Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club, serves on the Advisory Council of Boston College Law School, and is a former trustee at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day. I am impressed by the Crystal culture that inspires students to keep trying something new.

    Alumna ‘82, parent ‘19

    Jenny is President and COO of Franklin Templeton Investments. She holds a BA in Economics from UC Davis. She is recognized as one of the most influential executives in asset management. Jenny serves as a board member for the BizWorld Foundation and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

  • Becky Logan


    Committee on Trustees chair, alumna ‘89, parent ‘19 ‘23

    Becky (Davidow) Logan was an elementary school teacher at Phillips Brooks School and taught parent education on topics from diversity to sibling conflict. She is a facilitator for Love and Logic parenting programs. She holds a BA Fine Arts from St. Lawrence and is a former trustee at Phillips Brooks School. I continue to be grateful for the foundation of lifelong learning that I gained at Crystal as a student.

    Parent ‘20 ‘22

    Komal was a VP at Qlue. Previously, she held executive roles at Yahoo!, Netscape, and Oracle. She holds a BS in Computer Science from India, an MS Computer Science from Stanford, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. She is a trustee at SFMOMA and the Tate Americas Foundation. She is on the visiting advisory committee for the Met, Stanford Art Council, and is a founding member of the Center for Gender Equity & Leadership at Haas, UC Berkeley.

  • Cristal Waldrop


    Parent ‘22 ‘25

    Cristal was the executive director of a nonprofit law firm that provides civil legal services to the homeless. She has taught fundraising and board development in the nonprofit sector. She holds a BS from University of Virginia and an MBA from Columbia. She served as a trustee at Carey School. The committed and supportive Crystal faculty strikes the balance of nurturing and nudging -- helping students develop self-confidence, critical thinking, and an appreciation for different perspectives.

  • Norman Chen


    Second vice president, parent ‘19

    Norman has worked as an entrepreneur and early-stage investor in healthcare and lived in Asia for over 20 years. He holds a BS in Biology from MIT and an MBA from Stanford. Norman has served as a board or advisory council member for Nature Conservancy (CA), Marine Science Institute, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Children’s Medical Foundation in Hong Kong. For me, the diversity and down-to-earth nature of the community are so Crystal.

  • Jennifer Glore


    Alumni Board president, alumna ‘96, parent ‘25

    Jennifer (Roldoni) Glore is a director of engineering Oracle. She holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Oxford and Santa Clara Universities. Jennifer serves on Phillips Brooks Parent Association and is a troop leader for the Girls Scouts. I love how the teachers have fostered a love of learning in my daughter, and encourage her to try things outside of her comfort zone.

  • Jeff Lee


    Finance Committee chair, parent ‘21 ‘23

    Jeff is a managing director and co-founder of Northern Light Venture Capital, which focuses on early stage opportunities in China. He holds an AB Economics from Harvard and an MBA from U Penn. Jeff is an active supporter of Harvard College, the Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco, and the Mirae Foundation. My favorite aspect of Crystal is the close-knit and authentic culture of the community.

  • Dan Miller

    Interim Head of School

    Dan was the Head of the Wheeler School in Providence for 14 years.  Previously, he was the Head of Upper School at Kent Denver in Colorado, a Dean of Students at the Riverdale Country in the Bronx, and a teacher and coach at St. Anne’s in Brooklyn. He holds a BA from Amherst College and an MA and Ph.D. History from Harvard. I have found the enthusiasm, joyfulness and manifest excellence of Crystal irresistible.

  • Josh Smith


    Facilities Master Planning Committee co-chair, parent ‘21 ‘23

    Josh is the founder of Walden Development, a commercial real estate developer. Previously, he was president of the western region for Kimco Realty Corporation. Josh holds a BA in History from UC Berkeley. He served as a trustee and chaired the capital planning committee for the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco. My wife and I love watching our kids thrive at Crystal.

    Parent ‘22

    Wilson was an EVP at Palo Alto Networks, and previously held technical and management positions at Juniper, NetScreen and Network Associates. He holds a BE Computer Science from Tsinghua and an MS Computer Science from Penn State. Crystal’s engaged faculty and excellent programs motivate students to learn, enjoy and thrive.

  • Kate Dachs


    Advancement Committee chair, parent ‘22 ‘25

    Kate taught elementary school in Daly City. She holds a BA in Art History from Bates and a MEd and California teaching credential from the University of San Francisco. Kate has served on the boards of There With Care, Family Advisory Council at UCSF, and Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. I was struck by Crystal’s authentic community of educators and families the first time I visited, and continue to revel in my children’s experiences.

  • Evan Goldberg


    Secretary, parent ‘19 ‘23

    Evan is the founder of NetSuite and is currently an EVP at Oracle. He holds a BA Applied Mathematics from Harvard. Evan founded BRCA Foundation, which supports research on inherited cancer syndromes. He serves as a trustee for V Foundation for Cancer Research, served as a trustee for Woodside School Foundation, and established a squash program for urban youth. I am thrilled by the fantastic programs and people at Crystal.

  • Peter Lim


    Parent ‘14 ‘19

    Peter was CTO and co-founder of Stellar Loyalty, and currently SVP at Cheetah Digital. He has 25 years of experience building enterprise software at Oracle, Siebel, and SAP, and holds 30 patents. He holds a BS Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon. He served as president of the Carey School board. I was an active proponent of Crystal’s expansion and financial aid program, allowing more students to experience Crystal’s fantastic education and welcoming community.

  • Bob Peck


    Parent ‘16, ‘18, ‘21

    Bob is a managing director and founder of FPR Partners, a private investment firm. He earned an AB History from Princeton and an MA Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford while on a Rhodes Scholarship. He serves as a trustee for the Princeton University Investment Company, Fremont Group, and the S.D. Bechtel Jr. Foundation. What I love about Crystal is the unabashed intellectual engagement of its faculty and student body.

  • Kristie Cotton Spence


    Lifetime trustee, alumna ‘59

    Kristi has a family law mediation practice and was previously a partner at the law firms Berra Spence and Carr, McClellan. She holds a BA and a JD from Stanford. Kristi served as president of San Mateo County Bar Association. She is a former trustee at Pacific School of Religion, San Mateo Library Foundation, and Children’s Home Society. As a student, parent, faculty member and lifetime trustee, Crystal has always been an important and formative part of my life.

    Board president, parent ‘15 ‘17 ‘19

    Julia was a partner at the Cooley law firm. She holds a BA in Economics from UC Davis and a JD from Harvard Law. She serves as a trustee for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, is a member of the President’s Council of United Religions Initiative, and was formerly co-president of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation. My children have loved Crystal’s excellent teaching, and the opportunity to pursue continuing interests and discover new ones.

  • Gerald Horkan


    First vice president, parent ‘21 ‘24

    Gerry’s career has focused on the technology and media industries at Crispin Capital, Yahoo!, Booz Allen and Hewlett Packard. He spent a considerable portion of his career in Asia and speaks Japanese. Gerry holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia and an MBA from Harvard. He served as treasurer for the Hillsborough School Foundation. The Crystal faculty have inspired my children to try new things and to live the Crystal values.

    Parent Association president, parent ‘21 ‘25

    Vanessa is a senior partner in KPMG’s Software License Compliance practice. She holds a BS in Managerial Economics from UC Davis and a CPA. She serves in KPMG’s Network of Women, Asian Pacific Islander Network, and Women’s Board Leadership organizations. I am impressed with the caliber of the faculty and our inclusive community, which makes Crystal a great place to be for our family.

    Parent ‘18 ‘20

    Michael is a portfolio manager at Regis and a director at MLR Properties. Previously, he founded Makena Capital and was chief investment officer at Stanford Management Company. Mike holds a BA from Princeton and an MBA from Stanford. He is president of the Tahoe Meadows Historic District, a trustee for the Avery-Fuller-Welch Children’s Foundation, and served as chairman of the Stanford GSB Trust.

  • Josh Stein


    Investment Committee chair, alumnus ‘91, parent ‘19

    Josh is Partner and Managing Member at DFJ, a venture capital firm. He holds a BA from Dartmouth and an MBA from Stanford. Josh serves as a trustee for Stanford GSB Trust and previously served as a director for the Center for Venture Education and Kauffman Fellows Program. As a student, Crystal helped shape me into the person I am today. I learned to believe in myself, and that if I applied persistent effort I could tackle challenges that seem quite daunting.
