An independent day school for grades 6-12
Admission

Welcome

We are actively seeking engaged and compassionate students who are involved in the classroom and in the community; students who are athletes, artists, performers, activists and thinkers.
Crystal Springs Uplands School is known for its small, supportive environment and its big ideas. We encourage independence and community, experimentation and cooperation, intellectual inquiry and school spirit.

We are actively seeking engaged and compassionate students who are involved in the classroom and in the community; students who are athletes, artists, performers, activists and thinkers. Diversity adds to the richness of the CSUS experience and enlivens the educational aims of the school.

CSUS, as an institution, feels strongly that economics should not deter great students from attending our school. 21% of our student population receives need-based financial aid each year.

Please make time to come to an Open House, ask questions of our students and parents, and learn about our school. We hope you will attend a sporting event, theatrical performance, or Homecoming to really get a feel for our community.

Choosing the appropriate learning environment can be an exciting process.  We believe there should be a good match between the school and the student, so be yourself, ask questions, and enjoy this adventure.

Thank you for your interest in Crystal Springs Uplands School and we look forward to seeing you on campus!

  • Diversity Statement

Crystal Springs Uplands School is committed to being a diverse and inclusive community. Such a community values and celebrates individual differences and ensures that each individual's unique background and perspective can inform and enrich the educational experience for all. In seeking to create and sustain a community that reflects the diversity of the Bay Area - racially, economically, and culturally - we provide a dynamic learning environment and strive to prepare students for the world in which they live. Our curriculum exposes students to myriad viewpoints and experiences that challenge and broaden their perspectives. CSUS believes that students, parents, faculty, staff, administration and trustees with inclusive perspectives and attitudes make our school a place of respect and compassion in which all members thrive and feel supported.
