Crystal Varsity Boys tennis traveled to Sacred Heart. Brian B was the first player off the court, playing an almost flawless first set. Crystal’s #1 doubles team of Josh C and Owen D finished next, having played a dominant first set. Josh’s serve was particularly effective in the wind with Owen prowling the net.
Particularly impressive were the tie-breaker victories at #3 singles and #2 doubles. Jackson K elevated his game after dropping the second set. He dominated the more experienced Gator 10-1 with a barrage of forehand return winners.
At #2 doubles, Henry D showed great composure as the match got tight, making several big shots and helping Andres regain his rhythm on his big forehands.
The SHP Gators are tough competitors who make points complicated on each court. Congrats to the Crystal Gryphons for their match victories!
