It was a dramatic finish in Los Altos this afternoon between Pinewood and Crystal. With dark clouds looming and the match knotted at 3-3, the result was up to #3 doubles as players from both teams surrounded the court loudly cheering their teammates. Rain began to fall as seniors Justin Lim and Kunal Valia lifted their game to close out the 2nd set – and the match – as the rain began to fall…just in time!
In a crucial match-up at #3 singles, sophomore Jackson Kresse rebounded from a tough 6-2 first set to even the match before dominating the 3rd set tie-breaker 10-2. Seniors Josh Chan and Owen Dillon were rock solid in a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the top doubles slot. All-League sophomore, Brian Bilsey earned his first win of the season: 6-1,6-1.
