Crystal opened up league play with a loss in a 1-0 defensive battle. Charlie B threw 5 shutout innings with great defense behind him. The biggest challenge, with bases loaded and no one out in the 4th, was overcome - leaving the inning without anyone scoring. The lone run was scored on a ball in the bottom of the 6th in a first and third situation. The Gryphons look forward to getting back on the field tomorrow.
