Senior Wins Global Citizens Video Contest

"Our World is Beautiful" by Amrita S '21 won first place in the World Affairs Council's Global Citizens Video Contest.

Their website explains, "The Global Citizens Video Contest challenges you to use your creativity to produce a compelling short video about climate activism in your community or on a global scale. You could investigate local actions taken to mitigate the challenges or a particular person taking a leadership role. Climate change is already affecting the daily lives of people around the world; from the droughts in California to the rising sea levels in the Pacific ocean. As a global community, we are struggling to adapt our economies, infrastructures, and public policies to the alarming challenges of climate change. This contest aims to inspire the public and more importantly, serve as a call to action by asking students in Northern California to create a short video inviting the public to join them in taking action against climate change."

Congratulations Amrita!
