Learning About Kindness & Inclusion
Eighth graders witnessed one of our Core Values, “Foster Kindness and Inclusion,” in action while visiting Glide Memorial in San Francisco this fall. Glide describes itself as a "radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization.”
Students learned how the organization works, toured the Tenderloin neighborhood, discussed what it means to create an inclusive community, and served lunch to Glide clients. We look forward to visiting Glide again in January.
The Upper Schoolers also collected food to make dozens of Thanksgiving baskets for clients of Life Moves in San Mateo.
