Gryphon Gala 2018: Crystal Seas, Island Breeze

A sell-out crowd of parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends were "Welcomed Aboard" the Middle School campus cruise ship to set sail for an island adventure. We christened Expansion Hall on its inaugural Gryphon Gala voyage to kick off the party with tropical treats, silent auctions...

...and performances by Vick's Chicks and Mann's Men. The gentle ocean currents then swept us away to the new gymnasium for dinner, the live auction and a dance performance by members of the Polynesian Club.

This year's Fund-a-Need, dedicated to retiring Head of School Amy Richards, set a new fundraising record for the Amy C. Richards Fund for Professional Growth, dedicated to teacher enrichment. See the video celebrating Amy's legacy and featuring faculty members, students, and trustees. Finally, guests danced the night away to the high-energy tunes of Pop Rocks.

A huge "Mahalo!" to Gala Chairs Molly Dillon and Angela Rohde and their crew of volunteers, as well as to all of the underwriters, item donors, and bidders with their generous support of our fabulous faculty who will benefit from the evening's proceeds.
