The Crystal Springs Boys Varsity soccer team started to find their rhythm and contrary to the scoreline had a fairly dominant game. Summit-Shasta started with two early goals created from quick breaks and balls played through Crystal’s defense. Possession and movement continued to improve for Crystal as the half went on, and at halftime the tide seemed to have turned. The Gryphons started the second half as they had finished the first, and quickly found their first goal of the season; provided by junior Max Z. With new energy and belief the Gryphons kept pressing and played fluid soccer. Max’s second goal of the game tied things up mid-way through the second half. Both teams played a tough physical game until the end. Summit-Shasta managed to score two more goals. After full time, it was good to see both teams celebrate the game and congratulate each other leaving all the emotions on the field.
